The heat stages of the event will take place on Saturday 11th October at Northumbria Uni's Bullocksteads Playing Fields. Win the heat stages to go through to the finals, be a runner up and enter our plate competition. Both the men’s and women’s finals will take place that evening at Kingston park, the home of the Newcastle Falcons.

So what are you all competing for? To play in front of thousands of people in a premiership stadium. The two finalists of the men's tournament will play each other at Kingston Park at half time of the Falcons European Challenge Cup game, with the Women's final played after the final whistle of the Falcons fixture. The winners will be presented with their respective St.Helier Pear Cider Student 10s Trophy's, presented by British Lions Legend Doddie Weir at the exclusive post-match awards ceremony.

There will be prizes from our sponsors St.Helier Pear Cider, Eden Park, KooGa Rugby and Newcastle Falcons, such as Cider, Champagne, signed shirts and brand new rugby stash! All players who enter will receive sponsors vouchers and a free St.Helier Pear Cider Student 10s t-shirt.

Supporters will have the opportunity to purchase t-shirts for the evening social and with the Falcons taking on Spanish opposition that evening, we are encouraging groups and individuals to create a taste of the med throughout the day. There will be prizes given out on the spot for the best and worst dressed groups and individuals.

Whether you make it on to the Falcons pitch or not, the day event is one not to be missed. Be it a player, a supporter or simply a social animal, the event offers a great chance for a catch up over a few glasses of Pear Cider, kicking off Semester One in style!
